Building Young Leaders Through the Leadership Aspiring Youth Team (LAYT)
At Childhope Philippines, we believe that young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders today. Through our youth-led programs, children and young people in street situations continue to develop their leadership, advocacy, and entrepreneurship skills while actively contributing to their communities.
Our Leadership Aspiring Youth Team (LAYT), composed of 55 active youth members, has continued to strengthen young people's voices by participating in learning sessions, advocacy initiatives, and leadership opportunities throughout the year.
Youth leaders organized awareness activities to commemorate the International Day for Children in Street Situations,
Alongside leadership development, Childhope continues to support youth economic empowerment through the Young Entrepreneur Group (YEG), which now consists of 40 motivated young members.
Throughout the first half of the year, YEG members participated in planning workshops and team-building activities that strengthened their collaboration and clarified the group's shared vision for the future. Regular core group meetings provided opportunities to review organizational plans, establish governance structures, and prepare for the group's continued growth as a youth-led organization.
Driven by the passion and commitment of its members, the Young Entrepreneur Group continues to promote entrepreneurship, leadership, and community involvement. By strengthening their organizational capacity and encouraging peer support, these young entrepreneurs are becoming more confident in pursuing sustainable livelihood opportunities while inspiring fellow youth to become agents of positive change.
Investing in Young People's Potential
Every training session, consultation, and leadership opportunity equips children and youth with the confidence, knowledge, and skills they need to shape a better future—not only for themselves but also for their communities.
Your support through GlobalGiving makes these opportunities possible. Together, we are helping young people develop into informed leaders, active advocates, and empowered entrepreneurs who are ready to create lasting change.
