This project will provide a sustainable livelihoods to 500 women and girls with disabilities in Zimbabwe every year, through training in sewing, gardening, weaving and beads art. The project will provide sewing machines, garment materials, beads, weaving threads, gardening tools and seeds. This will enable women and girls with disabilities to financially sustain themselves.
For years Zimbabwe has been divested by economic crisis and drought. Women and girls with disabilities have been hit hard, 88% are not educated and they live in poverty.
Equip women and girls with disabilities with livelihoods skills, to be able to be self sustainable and break the poverty circle.
The project will enable women and girls with disabilities to be financial sustainable to meet their day to day needs, to be able to lay school fees for their children, to provide vegetables, handbags, beads necklaces and sewing school uniforms for surrounding schools.
