Summary
This project will provide emergency relief to families affected by cyclones and floods in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamilnadu, India.. The India has never seen a catastrophe of this extent like the present floods effect. Life of persons with disability has come to a standstill, Due to the unexpected storms, livelihoods have been lost. The situation is critical, with no possibility of cooking due to the floods. Clean drinking water is scarce, and people are struggling to protect themselves. Additionally, feed for cattle has been washed away, and there is a lack of sanitation facilities and privacy for household members. urgently require essential supplies their lives are totally turned over. These people are the poorest of the poor and live hand to mouth existence. we are very worried about how they will be managing. 5000 families of persons with disability will be provided ration kit
Challenge
The India has never seen a catastrophe of this extent like the present floods effect. Life has come to a standstill, the state is in lockdown, people's lives are totally turned over. The people with disabilities and the aged are the most vulnerable and the group to suffer the most in the present circumstances. People with disabilities who run small shops on the pavement or who are cobblers or who run errands, do small trading, or work as daily wage laborers are the most affected.
Solution
All donations to this project will immediately support recovery and relief operations in cyclone-affected areas across four districts of Tamilnadu . the fund will address the immediate needs of affected families, including food, dry ration, sanitary hygiene kits, and drinking water. Additionally, it will provide support for rebuilding the damaged houses of the victims. Our disaster preparedness team will continue to collaborate with the government and other like-minded organizations . Due to this condition they are having a very adverse effect on na physical and mental health. Malnutrition in children will increase, and illness will increase.
Long-Term Impact
The supply of emergency relief, including essential food, dry ration, and hygiene kits, along with cooking utensils, will help people return to a normal life, free from the effects of the floods. The assistance provided by our team will accelerate the process toward achieving normalcy. Additionally, the Project Team will prepare people to respond more effectively to emergencies through disaster preparedness measures, ultimately reducing losses.
