In Cameroon, in the Eastern region, mainly in Batouri, Poverty and lack of infrastructure lead to non-schooling of girls, lack of vocational training, child labor and forced marriages. AVM therefore intends to begin a project to support and promote the education of young girls and employment assistance for 100 local youth.This project aims not only to promote access to quality education , but also suitable spaces to learn
In Cameroon mainly in the East region, many factors act as barriers for young girls and young women to miss out on school. There has been progress, but much work is still needed to break down barriers that prevent girls from going to school such as poverty, child marriage and cultural discrimination. But also, inadequate infrastructure act as a barrier to enrollment and participation. The health implications of inadequate toilets and sanitation are very serious.
-AVM will Rehabilitate schools that are in disrepair, equip schools -AVM will Improve sanitary facilities, particularly for girls -Organize Community sensitization meetings -organize capacity Building of teachers
The project will educate 100 young girls, and therefore saves lives and builds stronger families, communities and economies. Educated girls will understand their rights, have a greater sense what is needed to support health and wellbeing, and they will have greater opportunities to be employed in a fulfilling way and achieve their full potential. the project will Provide the most basic elements necessary to ensure access to education (school desk ,Adequate separate sanitary facilities..).
