We are excited to share an update on Crete for Life's efforts to address food insecurity in Greece, especially given recent developments. Despite challenges such as the conflict and the influx of refugees to Crete, our commitment to our mission remains unwavering.
The good weather in Greece has led to an abundance of fresh produce, particularly in South-east Crete. However, due to commercial standards, a significant amount of this food is wasted each year.
In response, Crete for Life continues to work diligently to redistribute surplus vegetables to those in need across Crete, Athens, and mainland Greece. Through partnerships with local businesses, we've been able to make a meaningful impact by providing fresh produce to refugee camps, social kitchens, schools, and hospitals.
While our efforts have reached many communities, there is still much more to be done. The demand for fresh produce remains high, especially amidst ongoing challenges. Your donations, whether big or small, play a crucial role in expanding our reach and helping more people access nutritious food.
Together, let's ensure that no good food goes to waste while people in Greece go hungry.
Thank you for your continued support of our mission.
Sincerely,
Crete For Life
