This project trains 100 local midwives in Tanzania, providing life saving safe delivery skills, Mother to child HIV transmission prevention and martenal care education to lower maternal death.
The recent Maternal deaths in Tanzania, with a ratio of 578 per 100 000, represent 18 percent of all deaths of women age 15-49. The main direct causes of maternal death being haemorrhages, infections, unsafe abortions, hypertensive disorders and obstructed labours. This project equips local midwives with life saving skills to minimize martenal death in Tanzania.
Training 100 local midwives each year in managing the main martenal death causes and will equip life saving skills that minimize martenal death and provides opportunity for them to become part of a larger solution in Tanzania.
This project will train 100 local midwives which will provides 100 health centers in Tanzania with well trained midwives to manage main martenal death causes and train others with life saving skills that minimize martenal death in Tanzania.
