We want to train 200 disabled youths in Kano of 18-36 years to increase their employability, develop specific vocational skills and create safe business opportunities for themselves. By this program disabled youths will be able to make a healthy and productive lifestyle, by providing them with tools to complete their educations, find jobs that will lead to lifetime careers, take advantage of opportunities to pursue their own business ventures, achieve self-sufficiency and financial independence.
The Disabled are seen as liabilities, neglected and sent to the street to beg for arm, they are poverty striking. as a result of these, many take advantage of them and they are violated. We want to take them off the street, equip them with vocational skill , empower them and establish them to be self- reliant, not depending on public assistance for livelihood, but become useful to our society, so they can live a normal life and compete favourably with their abled body brothers in the society.
We train Disabled youths in Kano on how to increase their employability, develop specific vocational skills and create safe, legal business opportunities for themselves. The training includes tailoring, welding, vulcanizing, barbing, carpentry, marketing, business skills, value-added production, professionalism, interview technique and jobs search. By learning a marketable skill, the physically challenged youths would be out of the street, generate income and lift themselves out of poverty.
The project will train 200 disabled youths in Kano state on how to increased their employability, develop a specific vocational skills, set and create safe, legal business opportunities for themselves. This will help them rise out of poverty, and provide for their families' health and well-being. By this, they become useful to the community and can contribute positively to the economy.
