We are grateful to share an update on the Train 40 Community Leaders to End Child Marriage project. While the need remains urgent across the 20 targeted communities, fundraising challenges have slowed the full rollout of planned activities. With the project still seeking its $25,000 goal, implementation is currently in the early preparation stage.
Despite limited funding, we have begun foundational work by identifying priority communities, consulting local stakeholders, and shortlisting respected leaders—including religious leaders, women elders, and traditional rulers—who are ready to champion change. Initial awareness conversations have also started, helping communities understand the dangers of child marriage and the value of keeping girls in school.
Once additional funds are secured, we will launch formal training sessions, distribute advocacy toolkits, and support community-led interventions for girls at risk. Every contribution helps move this project from planning into action, bringing us closer to protecting girls, transforming harmful norms, and creating safer futures.
