Many young women in rural Nigeria lack opportunities to develop hospital management and administrative skills, limiting career prospects in healthcare. This project will train 50 girls in practical hospital management, including patient coordination, record keeping, and basic administrative duties. Immediate training is needed to increase skilled personnel, reduce gaps in healthcare services, and give these girls a pathway to stable employment in Nigeria's healthcare system.
Many girls in rural areas of Nigeria cannot access training in hospital management due to financial barriers and lack of local programs. This limits the number of skilled healthcare administrators, affecting hospital efficiency and patient care. Without practical training, these young women are left with fewer career options and healthcare facilities continue to face administrative gaps that hinder service delivery.
The project will provide hands-on hospital management training for 50 girls, covering patient intake, record management, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks. Participants will receive learning materials, mentorship, and practical experience in hospital settings. This will equip them with skills to perform administrative roles in healthcare facilities and increase their employability in Nigeria's health sector.
Trained girls will fill administrative roles in hospitals, improving efficiency, record accuracy, and patient services. Increased skilled personnel in healthcare administration strengthens the overall health system. Over time, this training can open pathways for career advancement, inspire more young women to pursue healthcare careers, and contribute to a more organized and effective healthcare delivery system in Nigeria.
