Join DSCG in "Train a Youth for Job Creation" mission thus changing the lives of over 800 youths in local poor communities of Uganda. Currently DSCG serves as a platform for experience sharing and advice, with the group of 12 volunteer members having a vision of becoming an organization reaching out to serve thousands of vulnerable people especially those within the age bracket of 06-24 years with skills in different fields like poultry, carpentry, computer training, and tailoring.
For years families in local communities of the Republic of Uganda continue to suffer from same problems of famine, civil wars, illiteracy, tribalism, diseases like (bilharzia, malnutrition among children and HIV/AIDS) thus increased death rates especially women and children, health facilities are few and in long distances. High number of widows due to high death rates caused by civil wars and various diseases as mentioned above and high number of vulnerable families living in absolute poverty.
DSCG through "Train a Youth for Job Creation" will train at least 800 youths ready for job creation in various programs; poultry, bee keeping, bakery, fish farming, tailoring, dairy farming, art/crafts, carpentry, Computer skills, among others. Through such skills youths will be able to earn money to afford basic needs and help their families. By having this number of youths trained with skills in different fields will create a positive change in the lives of the youths and their families.
Through social & economic empowerment initiatives, DSCG will help youths especially school dropouts and deprived girls in the poor communities to become self independent, self confident. The project will help prevent child prostitution, early marriages, unwanted pregnancies, and the spread of HIV/AIDS. DSCG will have a great impact in giving the youths hope for self sufficiency in future after obtaining its goal of training at least 800 youths for job creation.
