In Agou Gadjepe, there are thousands of vulnerable women and girls who have difficulty eating once a day. Cadphef-international brings together these women and girls in Scoops. On behalf of these vulnerable women and girls, this project to transform cassava into its derived products (flour, gari, tapioca ...) is initiated to have an income that allows them to feed their families. some of these products will be sold and this money will be used to meet their basic needs.
Several women and girls from Agou Gadjepe and the surrounding area live in deplorable conditions, with food and schooling for their children being their major challenges. This leads to juvenile delinquency and the prostitution of young girls contribute to the increase in the rate of HIV / AIDS infection in Agou Gadjepe. The COVD-19 health crisis worsens the situation of this vulnerable layer because not only you have to eat but also you have to buy the equipment for COVID-19 prevention
Derivatives will be sold, the money from the sale will allow members of the scoops to meet their basic needs, facilitate the education of their children and be able to easily buy protective equipment against COVID-19
The women and girls scoops of Agou Gadjepe and around now have the culture of processing cassava into its by-products. The equipment purchased has a long lifespan. Women and girls in the scoops continue to use the machines to press, dry, grind and roast gari, tapioca and flour. Some of the money from the sale is used to maintain the machines.
