Nucleo is founded on a simple idea. We believe any child, from any background, should have the opportunity to learn music. Nucleo works with children and young people from all backgrounds, some of whom would have no ongoing music education without our free programme. By widening access to learning, our charity aims to benefit young people as individuals and ensures that diverse communities are given access to a high-quality ensemble-based musical education.

Nucleo gives young musicians free access to musical education in three unique ways:

Collective Music Making – an immersive, rigorous musical education after school
Young Leaders Programme – developing musical change-makers from around the UK who can build a musical community that exemplifies the ideals of music for social change
The National Instrument Donation Bank – putting unused and unwanted instruments in the hands of young aspiring musicians.
