Nucleo is founded on a simple idea. We believe any child, from any background, should have the opportunity to learn music. Nucleo works with children and young people from all backgrounds, many of whom would have no ongoing music education without our free programme. By widening access to learning, our charity aims to benefit young people as individuals and ensures that diverse communities are given access to a high-quality ensemble-based musical education.
Now in our 10th year, Nucleo has grown to 450 students with a current waiting list of 250. They learn one or more of 17 orchestral instruments, moving through 10 group levels and achieving high standards of individual and ensemble performance.
Nucleo’s programme is open to all, but more than 80% of students come from minority and lower income groups. Tuition and use of instruments are provided free of any cost to all students.
Your generosity has built a strong, connected musical community whose ultimate goal is for our students to leave us with more opportunities and a greater array of choices before them.
We thank you for your support.
