As a way to highlight the students at Amun Shea School, PEOF's communications team is conducting interviews about their typical day at school. In this opportunity, Zoe, a bright and energetic 10-year-old student from Morazán, will share about her normal day. Zoe is currently in fourth grade and has been attending Amún Shéa School since 2022.
Hi! My name is Zoe Jeraline. My day starts early. I wake up, have breakfast, and then I go to school. My parents usually drop me off around 6:50 a.m. I love rainy days, and especially when there’s fog in the morning, it makes everything feel cozy.
Today, we had Language class first. After that, it was time for recess, and I love recess. It’s my favorite part of the day because I get to have fun. I usually buy something to eat and play with my friends. After recess, we had Social Studies. Honestly, it was a little difficult; it is not my favorite subject. Then we had English, which I enjoy; it was so much fun! Later in the day, we had lunch and I played with my friends. Then, we had another English activity where we wrote down the names of animals we had learned about. It was cool!
What’s your favorite part of the day? Recess! I love having fun with my friends.
Why did you decide to study here?My parents chose this school because they said it was very safe.
What’s your favorite color?I have a lot of favorite colors, but purple is my number one.
What’s your favorite subject? English. I think it is really important, especially if you ever travel to a country where you don’t speak the language. Also, I want to be a pilot or a flight attendant in the future.
Zoe’s journey is a testament to the power of education and the role Amún Shéa School plays in shaping the lives of young minds. Thanks to your generous support through PEOF, Amún Shéa provides a safe and inspiring space where students like Zoe can explore their interests and build the skills they need for a successful future!
