Amún Shéa students never cease to amaze us. They have created incredible projects designed to solve problems that people in Morazán may face, from biodegradable plastic to DNA extraction from fruit!
At the entrepreneurship fair, students showcased their science and technology skills. Their main objective was to present a solution to a real problem in their communities.
Do you want to preserve fruits and vegetables, but you do not have a refrigerator? You can create a dehydrator with a cardboard box, a rack, clear plastic, and aluminum foil.
Are there many insects where you live? Or, are your crops infested with pests? Sofía and her team have a recipe for creating an insect trap with vinegar, sugar, and detergent.
Are you using too much water in the school gardens? Adeline and her team will teach you how to make an easy and automatic irrigation system that reduces the amount of water you use while giving you the same results. And these are just some of the projects the students presented.
Isn't it incredible? Students aged 9 to 11 analyze problems, work together to brainstorm viable solutions, and then present them based on everything they've learned. Anyone who attended was impressed by the students' confidence as they spoke about their proposals, encouraging the audience to ask anything, assuring them they are well-prepared. This is the Amún Shéa community: students who see beyond the problems, who present their projects with confidence and without fear. Students who stand out for their skills and curiosity, and who undoubtedly give us all hope for a better future.
