Dear Donors,

Recently we engaged with school clubs to empower children to actively participate in ending violence against children. The sessions encouraged children to raise awareness and become advocates for their own safety and that of their peers.

Teachers were also trained and encouraged to document cases of violence against children to ensure proper referral and follow-up, strengthening the protection system around vulnerable children.

The day ended with volleyball games, promoting teamwork, unity, and positive interaction among the children and teachers.

These activities contribute to creating a safer, more supportive environment for the children we serve, and we thank our donors for making this work possible.

At Joy for Children Uganda, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. That is why we make it a priority to regularly visit the schools where our supported children are enrolled. These visits are vital in helping us monitor the children's academic progress, personal development, and overall well-being.

During each visit, our team interacts directly with the children to understand how they are doing both emotionally and academically. We also engage with teachers and school administrators to get a clearer picture of each child’s attendance, participation, and general behavior in school. In addition, we pay close attention to signs of health concerns, emotional distress, or any challenges that may affect their learning experience. Where necessary, we take appropriate action to ensure they receive the support they need.

Our presence at the schools is not only a means of monitoring but also an opportunity to encourage, motivate, and remind the children that they are not alone. Knowing that someone is checking in on them and that they are being supported gives them a sense of security and hope for a better future.

We are pleased to share that the most recent school visits have shown positive outcomes. The majority of children are attending school regularly, staying healthy, and showing steady academic progress. Most importantly, they are happy and hopeful.
