Sponsor a Child in Uganda

We are pleased to share with you the impact of our recent school outreach at All Saints Primary School in Kajjansi, where Joy for Children Uganda distributed essential scholastic materials to 50 vulnerable children. Thanks to your generosity, these learners now have the supplies they need to actively participate in class and continue their education with greater confidence. For many families facing financial hardship, the cost of basic learning materials remains a significant barrier to keeping children in school.

During our visit, we met 10- year old Sheillah , a bright and determined learner who proudly held her new exercise books and pencils. Before receiving these supplies, she was using 2 books for all the 4 subjects. With the materials she received, Sarah smiled and shared that she now feels confident participating in lessons alongside her friends. For children like her, access to basic school supplies is more than an educational necessity it restores hope, builds confidenceand puts a smile on their faces with the morale of staying in school, reducing their vulnerability to child marriage, child labor, and other forms of exploitation.

 Through this outreach, 50 children received essential scholastic materials such as books, pencils, mathematical sets, rulers, pens and rubber to support their learning. Our team also engaged with learners and teachers, emphasizing the importance of education and encouraging every child to remain in school despite the challenges they face. Moments like these remind us that a simple notebook or pen can open the door to opportunity and inspire a child to keep dreaming.

Looking ahead, we will continue expanding our school outreach program to identify and support at least 500 of the most vulnerable children. Through our Sponsor a Child Program, we also hope to re-enroll out-of-school children, including adolescent mothers, giving them a second chance to complete their education. In addition to scholastic materials, we aim to provide school bags, school uniforms, and sanitary towels to ensure girls can attend school with dignity and confidence. We will also continue conducting school and community sensitization sessions with parents, teachers, and local leaders to, prevent child marriage, and strengthen childrens right to education. Together, these efforts will help ensure that more children remain in school with all their needs provided such as school fees and requirements such as books and pens, realize their full potential, and build brighter futures.
