Suneetha’s heart raced with anticipation as she steered her motorized tricycle towards the print shop. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, she was able to leave her house to go to work.
Suneetha’s life has been anything but easy. Struck by polio in childhood, her legs have never known the freedom of walking. She used to rely on a manual tricycle to move around, but as the years went by, it became unusable.
Life after polio left Suneetha spending most of her life crawling on the ground, dragging her body from place to place. Her parents had always been there to help, but as they aged, their ability to support her waned. The broken tricycle became a symbol of her isolation, a constant reminder of her limitations.
But today was different. Today, Suneetha had wings. Thanks to the generosity of kind-hearted donors, she now possessed a motorized tricycle that was nothing short of a miracle. Tears welled up in her eyes as she approached her first day on the job, the joy of independence washing over her like a warm summer breeze.
“I never thought I’d see this day,” Suneetha whispered to herself, a smile spreading across her face.
“Thank you,” she thought. “Thank you for giving me back my life.”
This gift of transportation transformed her daily existence, enabling her to find a job, run errands, and reclaim her place in the community.
