Transition house

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to one of the young women who was part of our home. We wish her the best in this new chapter of her life and much success in all that lies ahead.

We are happy that Coralia and Jonás continue to make positive progress, strengthening their mother-child bond and growing through their respective personal and emotional journeys.

This month, we have also added new decorative touches to the house, making it a warmer and more welcoming space where our young women can increasingly feel like they are in a true home.

Mentoring

This month, the young women participated in training sessions on respectful parenting, where they reflected on the benefits and risks of screen time for children and learned guidelines for fostering healthy, appropriate technology use.

We are also happy to share that several of the young women and their children have started the new school year. As part of our ongoing support, we provided them with school supplies to assist them with this important step. We believe that education is a fundamental tool for developing their capabilities, expanding their opportunities, and building a future with greater possibilities.

Group home Activities

This month,the young women have continued to strengthen their financial literacy skills by learning about the responsible use of credit. We also shared the biblical story of Ruth and created a craft inspired by a stalk of grain.

In addition, we had the joy of celebrating two very special occasions: the 15th birthday of one of the young mothers and the first birthday of her little one, sharing moments filled with excitement and happiness together.

Institutional

This month, we met with The Batey Relief Project to gain a closer understanding of their work and exchange experiences. As a result of this meeting, they referred a young woman to us who will be arriving at the house next month.

Our colleague Lucía successfully completed the Diploma Program in Marketing and Digital Strategy for Non-Profit Organizations. This training enabled her to consolidate her knowledge and skills regarding social media management, digital communication, and strategies to enhance our presence and reach across digital platforms.

We also moved forward with the decision to open an Early Childhood Education Center, envisioned as a safe and welcoming space where children can develop holistically, learn, strengthen their skills, and grow guided by values that foster their development into people of integrity.
