Hi everyone! Find attached our latest report.
Thank you so much for your support!
Transition house
We are delighted to share that we have welcomed two new young women and their little ones to our Transitional Home: Franyeli, with her son Gabriel, and Suzelie, with her son Sandro.
We hope this new beginning marks a period of growth, stability, and hope for them. Our wish is that, during their time at the home, they can strengthen their capabilities, develop new skills, and acquire the tools needed to move toward a life of greater independence and well-being for themselves and their children.
It brings us joy to see Coralia continuing to make progress with her bracelet business as she prepares a large order to be shipped to the United States. We are also thrilled to see her bond with Jonás growing stronger every day.
Mentoring
This month, the parenting workshops focused on creating stories to share with their children, setting boundaries that allow them to grow in a safe environment, managing time, and the importance of putting themselves in their childrens’ shoes when asking them to perform tasks or adopt certain behaviors. Additionally, they have been participating in a challenge aimed at reducing the time their children spend in front of screens, thereby promoting other forms of play, interaction, and learning.
Group home Activities
This month, we enjoyed numerous activities with the young women, creating opportunities to share, learn, and enjoy time together as a community. We went on two outings to the river and held a fun belly-painting session with the expectant mothers. We also created a mural that now fills the home with color and joy, leaving a beautiful mark of creativity and teamwork in our shared spaces. Additionally, we enjoyed a picnic afternoon where we happily celebrated the birthdays of four of the young women and their children.
We held a session dedicated to exploring and demystifying concepts related to sex education. This space enabled them to gain tools for recognizing inappropriate situations, identifying potential warning signs, and learning how to set boundaries that foster their well-being and protection.
Institutional
This month, our colleague Lucía completed training in social work to strengthen the tools she uses to support the girls. We welcomed three volunteers who shared their knowledge and time through various activities.
We have opened a bank account, which will facilitate local contributions and strengthen our institutional management.
Finally, we joined an initiative to form an alliance of associations dedicated to providing comprehensive services to children and adolescents, with the aim of pooling efforts, sharing resources and knowledge, and improving the support we provide.
Thank you!
