Quarterly Report (March, April, and May) 2025 on the Activities of the Penelope Mobile Library
The Penelope Mobile Library was launched to provide young users with access to books. It reaches out to young readers at convenient times. This report presents the activities carried out in the various schools in the city of Houndé during the first quarter of 2025. During the secon dquarter of 2025, the facilitator's visits to the various schools in the city of Houndé recorded 1,720 users, mainly elementary school students. Some high school students and adults are also included. The number of hours per visit to the activity site varies between 1 hour 45 minutes and two hours. Each activity receives an average of 36 children. The outings to the various schools are good times because they not only facilitate children's access to books and encourage their love of reading, but they also allow them to discover new works and new words. Many users say they are satisfied, but they would like to see an increase in the documentary collection so that they can dream more. It should be noted that CMH books are very appreciated by users because they allow children to discover and understand the world around their environments. These are moments for them to share and develop. The mobilization and commitment of users around this mobile library demonstrates once again that if children have access to books, they will read them.
