Shristi Special Academy in Bangalore provides transport facility for the 180 children with different ability to be picked and dropped back to their homes as part of its services. Currently it operates 3 buses and 2 of the buses are almost 15 years old and frequently require repairs incurring a lot of expense and inconvenience. It requests assistance to purchase another bus (Seating Capacity 40) for providing pick up and drop for differently abled children from their home to the academy.
Shristi provides transportation facility for about 150 persons with disabilities.Transportation is a key for the children to reach the Academy to get the required intervention. The beneficiaries from villages around our campus have never had any intervention because they live far off from Bengaluru city and their parents are unable to afford the cost of daily commute, let alone the cost of rehabilitation services.Majority of the parents cannot afford to bring their children to the academy
To reach out to 40 beneficiaries identified across 40+ villages around Shristi campus To provide an opportunity for Persons with Disabilities(1yr old to adults) to access necessary intervention services To provide Special Education and multi therapeutic services from Early intervention to Livelihood Program To enable access to disability benefits and services from the Government.
