'Brahma' will touch the sky again.

By Moumita | Sr Program Manager

What is left for a bird if it cannot spread its wing and touch the sky? Yes, the sky is their home. But when they lose the ability to fly, life becomes meaningless for them.

‘Brahma,’ an Indian black kite was found grounded with a right-wing injury by Abdul (name changed). He was struggling to protect himself from a pack of community dogs when he came to the notice of Abdul, who was passing by the road just at the right time. Thankfully, this kind-hearted fellow picked Brahma up and rushed to us. When our team received Brahma, he was under massive pain and trauma. Our loving team of vets & vet assistants first stabled his condition with medication. After checking Brahma's injury, our clinical head decided to go with an ‘Intramedullary Pinning (IM) surgery and assured that he will touch the sky soon.

Our brave Brahma throughout responded well to the treatment. After the surgery, he is recovering fast in our raptor rehabilitation center. He is taking long flights in the ‘flight cage’, and we are confident that he will return to his natural habitat in no time.

We promise to share the video link of his release as soon as he touches the sky.

Dear Friends, Jivdaya Charitable Trust (JCT), thank you all for your support. We would not have been able to save ‘Brahma’ without your contribution. There are a lot of birds like Brahma who need timely treatment, care & love. Together we can save them. Come join us to save more lives every day.

Thank You
