‘Blue Bull’ or ‘Nilgai’ is the largest of all Asian antelopes and is one of the commonly seen wild animals across India. Due to the rapid de-forestation, they often meet with the road accidents or become a victim of territorial fights with other strays.
A few days back we have received an adult Nilgai from the outskirts of Ahmedabad who was terribly injured due to a deadly road accident. He had a nasty fractured ankle, head trauma, severe dehydration, and a fewdog bite wounds were also observed. It seems that the poor guy was lying injured for several days without food or water and might be a pack of territorial dogs attacked him.The blue bull was in severe pain and developed infection. When he has been rescued and brought to us it was late. Our team tried extremely hard but despite of all our hard work and care unfortunately, the Blue Bull could not survive.
With the development of mankind, we are certainly progressing but also losing many valuable creations of Mother Nature. Being one of the most intelligent species we should take care of them to secure our future. Come, let us save them together.
P.S We share the same planet, let us share it equally.
