‘Nico,’ an Indian black kite, was found grounded with a right-wing injury near the outskirts of Ahmedabad. This adult kite was met with an accident and damaged its wing. The locals rescued the bird in a critical condition and handed it over to Jivdaya for treatment.
After initial examination and x-ray, we found Nico had a fracture near the right-wing bone. Our doctors started the medication and necessary treatment to comfort its pain and heal the injury. Nico is now under our observation for the next 30 days. During this time, our team will monitor the healing process and progress. After recovery, we will release Nico to its natural habitat to spread the wing once again.
We thank you all for your love & support. Today the wildlife is in danger due to our greed and extreme consumption. They are losing their habitat every day. Your thoughtful contributions help us give them back their lives and freedom.
