Blue is white-throated kingfisher. These birds are known for their stunning colors and beauty. This feathered friend was searching for a shallow water body in search of food near a highway unaware of the fact that there are speeding vehicles. Unfortunately, Blue was hit by a car. The locals saw blue on the road and immediately contacted nearby rescuers. One of the rescuers took blue straight to our hospital where our doctors found out that Blue’s right-wing was broken due to the collision. Our team promptly took the decision to fix its wing with a pinning surgery.
The surgery was successful and now blue is recovering in our aviary.
These feathered friends are an important part of our ecosystem. We need to conserve them for a better tomorrow. Jivdaya conveys heartfelt thanks to all of you for being a part of this lifesaving journey.
