‘Zorro’ lost her one eye but survived with an apt treatment:
It was a sunny day in India and most people travel from home to work in their private vehicles. One fine day a man commuting to work in his car found ‘Zorro’ a kitten lying on the side of the road, he stopped the car and got out of it - running ‘towards the kitten. On reaching the spot he saw that poor ‘Zorro; was injured in his right eye and was in a very bad condition. In spite running late for the work, he decided to take the kitten as soon as possible to the Jivdaya Charitable Trust, an Animal hospital which is located near Panjarapole, Ahmedabad.
As the kitten was rescued and brought to Jivdaya, our doctors saw him and opted for an emergency surgery.
‘Zorro’ was brutally injured in his left eye. The injury was such that our doctors decided to Enucleate (removal of the entire eyeball) by which the cat might lose one eye.
Enucleation is a surgical procedure where the entire eyeball is removed from its socket. It is typically done when the eye is severely damaged or diseased and cannot be saved. Our doctor couldn’t save the eye as it was already damaged beyond repair, but they successfully
