REPORT ON TREAT 6000 CHILDREN WITH MALARIA IN ZAMBULKURA AREA (53920) -AUGUST 2026 Report of activities from May -July 2026 by Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana’s (RRHZ). Malaria cases reduced significantly in both children and adults during the period under review. That is from May to July 2026.This is attributed to the collaborative work between Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana, and Zambulkura Community Medical Centre (ZCMC). Unlike the previous years when there was no permanent health facility in the area, and malaria screenings were done periodically, this time around the establishment of the Clinic has made it possible for sick people to quickly access healthcare services at Zambulkura community Medical Centre. Early attendance to the facility has minimized the number of malaria cases, progressing to severe or complicated sicknesses. We are however anticipating the malaria cases to slightly go up in the third quarter of 2026 due to the peak raining season which usually follows with increases in mosquitoes breeding, mosquitoes’ population, and subsequently malaria cases in the area, that is Zambulkura and its neighbouring communities. In line with our aim to make health care services easily accessible to people. Working with ZCMC is addressing other critical health problems including pregnant women accessing safe deliveries, those with non-communicable diseases, and others all receives healthcare services at ZCMC. This update is to our donors and GlobalGiving Team, to provide the opportunity to know the impact of our work together as a team in Zambulkura. Our NGO’s malaria outreach programs continue to impact lives in Zambulkura and surrounding communities positively through our malaria screenings and treatments. This was made possible because of the donations received from donors through GG. The funds we received helped us to buy rapid malaria test kits, malaria medicines among other logistics used to carry out the Malaria screenings and treatment. The total number of people tested for the disease was 262 out of which 11(4.2%) tested positive for the disease. All the 11 positive malaria cases were children aged 6-17 years with no severe or complicated case detected. CONCLUSION The collaborative work between Zambulkura Community Medical Centre, and Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana is making a positive impact in the lives of the people. We are not only addressing malaria issues but other health problems facing the communities. The issues of maternal, safe childbirth, emergencies such as snake bites, scorpion sting among others. Donors’ support through GlobalGiving continues to play important role in enhancing the quality of lives of the people in Zambulkura and its surrounding communities. Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana is grateful to all our donors, and GG Team for supporting us to make the positive impact in the lives of the people. God bless all our donors, and to GlobalGiving Team members. By Maxwell Koligu Tidow - Founder, Rescue and Restore Hope Zambulkura Ghana
