By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader
Dear Supporters,
Thanks to your generosity, we have successfully planted over 400 trees with local communities in Uganda!
What We Achieved:
Planted 400+ trees, including fruit and shade trees, in schools, communal areas, and degraded lands.
Engaged community members, farmers, and youth in tree planting and care activities.
Trained participants in agroforestry, soil conservation, and climate-smart practices.
Impact:
The trees are improving soil fertility, restoring degraded land, and providing habitats for local wildlife.
Communities now have access to fruit, shade, and firewood, supporting livelihoods and nutrition.
Youth and students gained hands-on experience in environmental conservation, building lifelong stewardship habits.
Challenges & Learnings:
Some planting was affected by unpredictable weather, but community dedication ensured strong survival rates.
Maintaining young trees required ongoing support and mobilization, strengthening community collaboration.
Looking Ahead:
We plan to expand tree planting to nearby villages and schools.
Establish a local tree nursery to sustain long-term planting efforts.
Introduce fruit tree orchards to further support food security and climate resilience.
Thank You!
Your support has planted more than trees — it has planted hope, resilience, and a greener future for communities in Uganda.
