Dear MaviKalem donor,
We are reaching out to thank you for your generous and ongoing support for the Turkey Earthquake Recovery for Children project and to provide you with an update.
The earthquakes that struck Turkey in 2023 caused the greatest destruction in our country's history. In Hatay, where our work is centered, a large portion of the population continues to live in container cities. Seasonal effects are making life difficult for families living in containers. The city's incomplete infrastructure continues to make it difficult for parents to earn a living and for children to access education.
As MaviKalem, we continue to work to meet the needs of children and women in Hatay. With your support, we are creating safe spaces for children, conducting psychosocial support activities, and providing basic educational materials.
We once again thank you for your unwavering support. Your contributions have made a significant impact, and we look forward to your continued support as we work toward the long-term recovery and development of communities affected by the earthquake.
