On 6th Feb 2023 two major earthquakes of the magnitude of 7.8 & 7.5 struck border areas of Turkiye and Syria on the same day, killing more than 4,000 people and injuring thousands more. More than 3000 Buildings have been turned into rubbles Homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure have been destroyed under layers of rubble. The recent high magnitude earthquakes in South Turkiye and Syria has rendered thousands of people homeless. More than 5000 people have died and many thousands injured. The earthquake affected people need immediate support in terms of shelter, medicines as well as food supplies in order to come out of the huge disaster. This appeal will help the earthquake affected to continue their life among the rubble caused by earthquake.
This project appeal for the earthquake affecties will go a long way in providing immediate relief to the people of Turkiye and Syria ravaged by the earthquake. Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is already working for Syrian refugees living in different cities of Turkiye. Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) will work in collaboration with Turkish NGOs to provide relief to the Earthquake affecties.
This project appeal is for immediate help for the earthquake affecties of Turkiye and Syria however with the help of donations more support will be provided to the earthquake affecties under the project "Turkiye and Syria Earthquake Relief Appeal" being started in collaboration with Global Giving Foundation USA. Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is already working for the welfare of Syrian refugees living in Turkiye under the project "Syrian Refugees Relief Fund".
