Good day to our donors!
Things here in Ecuador have been hard post pandemic. People in general has lost their health follow up and had it harsh to restore it again because of economic reasons or availability of specialists.
Turner syndrome is a condition of the chromosomes (little bars of inheritance, as I was told at diagnosis) present in the cells that keep the map to make us. They present in pairs, one comes from the father, the other from the mother. In Turner syndrome, one of the chromosomes of the last pair is missing or partially deleted or altered.
The latest news is we are doing a psychology project for them (with the psychology school of an university) and we are getting the Ministry of Health of Ecuador (together with other foundations for other rare diseases and conditions) to rewrite the criteria for disability card, and to test them on a group of patients (with Turner or other diseases) that didn't have it before.
Also, we are getting a hub and equipping it! You can see us refurbishing it on the video (on our Facebook page)
Thank you for your support.
