Tutoring for Success: Changing Lives in Benin

Dear Donors,

Thanks to your generous support, Trois Sœurs' twice-weekly, 4-hour tutoring sessions started a few days before the school year began. Since early September, we've been monitoring each student's progress across all of Trois Sœurs' intervention zones.

After six months of work, we're thrilled to share the remarkable progress our students have made. For example, one of our students ranks among the top five in his class. Additionally, several of our secondary students rank first in their classes with excellent STEM grades. We'd like to highlight two young TS students in particular.

Exaucé H.: A Remarkable Transformation

First, Exaucé H. is improving day by day. At the beginning of the year, he struggled to keep up in mathematics and science. Today, thanks to regular tutoring and the educational tools your donations made possible, his grades in mathematics and science are very good. He has gained confidence and actively participates in class.

Clovis D.: Determination That Inspires

Second, Clovis D., despite his situation and his family's difficult living conditions, continues to improve steadily. His early days at Trois Sœurs were challenging. Without a blackboard at his disposal or a suitable space for tutoring sessions, he walks kilometers to attend classes at one of the NGO's partner schools. During sessions, he pays close attention and retains the corrections the tutor provides.

Your Direct Impact

Thanks to your support, students now understand STEM concepts better through the geometry sets you made it possible to purchase. Additionally, classes run smoothly because work materials (chalk, blackboards) are now available. Many of our students have transformed from struggling learners into confident, high-performing students.

Encouraging Results

From September to today, nearly 80% of Trois Sœurs students are on track to advance to the next grade level. This percentage could increase by year's end if the remaining students dedicate themselves to their studies. Nationally in Benin, only 66% of students complete primary school and just 38% complete lower secondary. Our 80% on-track rate demonstrates the powerful impact of individualized tutoring and donor support—nearly twice the national completion rate for secondary students! Trois Sœurs students remain confident about what's ahead. They are determined to advance to the next grade and reach their full potential.
