Hello all,
It has been a year since the pandemic hit and a year since we find ourselves forced to adapt to new ways of working and interacting. Against all odds, we continue to do good works here at YCAB, and have succeeded in accomplishing many great things, thanks to the help of many, including yours.
We have officially opened Rumah Batik Semarang, and it now provides 30 students with the opportunity to learn how to create Batik, one of Indonesia's proud heritage. Our campaign, LightUp Indonesia, has also accumulated a total of IDR 9,450,683,254, successfully aiding 100.077 families in 34 provinces across Indonesia.
Throughout the year, YCAB has also collaborated with fantastic partners namely, HSBC Indonesia, Youth Business International (YBI), Google.org, Facebook, Garena, and Mastercard, to provide support to women and children across Indonesia.
As of 2020, together with HSBC Indonesia, YCAB successfully impacted 10.045 youth through Anak Bangsa Siap Berkarya (ABSB) and prepared them for work readiness, and reached 1.040 youth through High Impact Program (HIP) by helping them obtain relevant industry standard skills to ensure long-term employment, decent jobs, and entrepreneurships. Not only youth, but with HSBC Indonesia, we also trained and reached 94.250 women through Women Entrepreneur Empowerment (WEE) and successfully assisted 260 participants through Resiliency For Women & Farmers (WR) by creating business opportunities for female and farmer-owned MSMEs by presenting a comprehensive, long-term solution to the complex problems they face as a result of COVID-19.
With Youth Business International (YBI), which was funded by Google.org, YCAB also responded to the pandemic and supported 1.175 underserved women entrepreneurs through our Rapid Response Recovery Program.
Furthermore, through 3 seperate programs, YCAB also successfully accelerated the growth of digital talents involving teachers and students across Indonesia. Asah Digital with Facebook impacted 800 teachers and 1.600 students; Guru Digital with Garena successfully impacted 737 teachers and 30.200 students; Mastercard Girls4Tech with Mastercard impacted 7.977 students. To know more about the exciting programs YCAB is a part of and the impact that has been achieved, come on over and visit us at our website!
2020 has been a whirlwind of a year, and it was certainly a challenging one. We look forward to the new opportunities 2021 will bring and together with your continuous support, let us continue to thrive and create change!
