Engaging barefoot garden technicians

Barefoot garden technician training

Dear All Friends,

Greetings and thank you very much for your continuing and generous donation to our project promoting food security via vegetable gardening for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan. For semi-landless inhabitants, gardening using small spaces, sacks and other materials is a big help to their nutrition and income. We are fortunate because we have good access to organic fertilzer which is provided to us for free from a local sugar mill here. This reporting period we engaged local communities to nominate what we call as "barefoot garden technician" who we train and who will be source of information, gardening techniques and vegetable seeds to their neighbors. We are able to train and graduate 22 technicians/volunteers living in 3 barrios in Albuera, Leyte.

Again thank you very much for your kind support.

Very sincerely yours,

Cora
