Dear Friends and Supporters,
Greetings and thank you for your continuing support to our project providing food security for poor farming families affected by the typhoon. Until now many families are still struggling for food because the damage caused by the typhoon is really extensive and solving the problem will take a long time. This reporting period we decided to continue our distribution of herbal-based planting materials to farmers so they can grow in pots and recycled containers in their homes. There is a big possibility that a local donor here will support the purchase of processing equipment and we cannot let this opportunity pass. We will use our training center in Albuera as the processing center for the herbal products and we intend to produce capsules and tea for sale in the market. Marketing is not a problem since commercial herbal products are expensive and sold only in big supermarkets located in the city. This reporting period we are able to support 35 farming families start their herbal gardens with turmeric as the initial crop being planted.
Again, thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
