Early childhood has been recognized by the international community – and proven by decades of research – to be a crucial time in a child’s life. During these early years, children develop the skills and capacities they need for future learning and growth.

At Ubunye Educare Centre we provide an environment where our learners have access to quality early childhood education. We believe in developing our learners holistically which encompasses health, nutrition, social protection and educational stimulation.

In 2023 we have made big strides in supporting our goal of educating 120 children aged 5+6 years old in the township of Dunoon, Cape Town. We have successfully graduated all 120 of our learners and we can proudly say they are school-ready.

We graduated 15 parents from our Home–School Partnerships programme last year. This programme has empowered and inspired parents and caregivers to support informal learning at home.

Our 2024 registrations open with a full complement of 120 learners with over 90 learners on our waiting list. We are excited to execute our academic plan for 2024 and we will continue to improve the quality of education for our learners.

Thank you for your donations which help feed, educate, and empower the underprivileged in the township of Dunoon, cape Town.
