Freeing the mothers of the victims of NS to provide full time care while providing income to the affected families by employing the fathers in the farm to feed their family. 2. The local community will be trained in modern and commercial farming to overcome the adverse effects of climate change that has affected the traditional subsistence farming in this community.

Challenge

The victims of Nodding Syndrome (NS) are dying of starvation due to neglect and climate change aecting food security.Currently, there is no support for the victims of NS from any NGOs and a limited support from the government of Uganda. The government of Uganda attempts to support the victims of NS was hampered by corruption and limited funds, hence innocent victims of NS are starving to death. Therefore, there is an urgent need for food security and services for the victims

Solution

Freeing the mothers of the victims of NS to provide full time care while providing income to the aected families by employing the fathers in the farm to feed their family. The local community will be trained in modern and commercial farming to overcome the adverse eects of climate change that has aected the traditional subsistence farming in this community. The project will provide income for our recurring costs such as emergency care and provide food and support for the victims of NS

Long-Term Impact

Decreased numbers of children admitted to hospital due to poor nutrition, Decreased mortality rate of the NS children and youth, Increased number of trained farmers applying modern and commercial farming techniques, Increased number of NS children and youth attending school The farm products will be sold to provide nance for the ongoing expenditure of salaries and wages, supporting the victims of NS, farm maintenance and investment.
