Urgent Appeal for Assistance to Flooding in Yemen

As the rainy season returns to Yemen, we are reminded of the ongoing struggle faced by hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens impacted by last year's devastating floods. Many have lost everything—homes, possessions, and, in some cases, hope. Access to food, clean water, shelter, and basic necessities remains critically limited. The urgency for humanitarian support is more pressing than ever. Thanks to your generous contributions through the Support Yemeni Society Organization and GlobalGiving, our dedicated team is tirelessly working on the ground to alleviate suffering and support those in dire need. Let us share a few stories from the field that showcase the incredible impact your donations have made:

• Fatima, a mother of three, lost her home and all her belongings in the floods. After receiving a shelter kit, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I never thought I would have a roof over my children’s heads again. Your support has given us hope during this darkest time."
• Ahmed, an elderly man who was displaced by the flooding, received emergency food assistance. With tears in his eyes, he shared how the food packages helped him regain some strength and comfort, stating, "I am so thankful for the kindness of strangers. You have fed not just my body, but my spirit."
• In AlMahweet Governorate, our team has distributed 50 food packages and delivered clean water to desperately needy communities. Many residents have come forward to express their gratitude, recognizing that your contributions have provided them with essential support that could save their lives.

Moreover, we have also distributed non-food items (NFIs) and essential household goods to help families start to rebuild their lives.
