Dear Donor,
Ituri remains the principal centre of the Ebola outbreak in the DRC.
The latest ECDC figures report 6,250 confirmed cases and 2,885 deaths in Ituri, with cases recorded in 28 of the province's 36 health zones.
Development Alert continues promoting sustained preparedness among communities affected by prolonged transmission.
Our activities emphasize early reporting, hygiene awareness, responsible healthcare seeking and cooperation with health authorities.
Long-running outbreaks can create community fatigue, making it increasingly important to communicate clearly and consistently.
We encourage communities to maintain protective practices even when daily attention to Ebola begins to decline.
Your support helps ensure that preparedness remains active in communities facing sustained transmission.
