Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue strengthening community-based measures that help families understand and reduce the risks associated with Ebola. In communities affected by or vulnerable to Bundibugyo virus disease, prevention depends heavily on timely information, practical hygiene measures, and the ability of people to recognize warning signs and seek assistance quickly.
Through our community-focused work, we are supporting awareness around hand hygiene, safe interaction with suspected cases, early reporting of unusual illness, and cooperation with health authorities. We also encourage community members to avoid misinformation and rely on trusted health information.
The continued outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo demonstrates why community preparedness remains essential. As of 29 September, 8,224 confirmed cases and 3,982 deaths had been reported in the DRC.
Your support is helping bring prevention closer to the people who need it most.
