Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue strengthening community awareness about the importance of reporting suspected illness and unusual health events as early as possible.
Early alerts can give surveillance teams an opportunity to investigate cases, identify potential contacts, and connect people with appropriate care before transmission spreads further. For this reason, community members are encouraged to communicate concerns through trusted health channels rather than waiting until an illness becomes severe.
Our work emphasizes that every family can contribute to preparedness by recognizing warning signs, sharing accurate information, and cooperating with health workers.
WHO reports that surveillance remains one of the principal lines of defence in the current DRC outbreak, helping teams detect alerts, investigate suspected cases, and monitor contacts.
Your support is helping strengthen the connection between communities and the systems responsible for protecting them.
