Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued support, we are maintaining awareness in communities connected through travel, trade, family relationships, and other cross-border movement.
Uganda successfully completed its Ebola outbreak response period, but continued transmission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo means regional preparedness remains important.
WHO has identified cross-border preparedness as an important component of the response because population movement can connect affected and unaffected communities.
Our community work encourages people living and working around border-connected areas to remain informed, practice good hygiene, report concerning illness promptly, and follow guidance from health authorities.
The goal is not to create fear around travel or trade. Instead, it is to strengthen responsible movement and early communication so communities can remain connected while better prepared for public-health risks.
Your support is helping strengthen resilience across communities linked by borders.
