Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we are also recognizing the importance of recovery and reintegration for people who survive Ebola.
Survival is an important milestone, but recovery can involve physical, emotional, and social challenges. Survivors may also face stigma or fear from people who do not understand the disease.
Our community awareness efforts promote compassion and accurate information, helping communities understand that survivors deserve dignity, support, and safe reintegration.
ECDC reports that more than 2,000 people had recovered from confirmed Bundibugyo virus disease in the DRC by the latest reporting period.
Your support helps ensure that the response recognizes survivors not simply as statistics, but as people rebuilding their lives.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
