Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue strengthening community preparedness in areas connected to the ongoing Ebola response in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The current outbreak of Bundibugyo virus disease remains a serious regional public-health concern. As of 29 September 2026, the DRC had reported 8,224 confirmed cases and 3,982 deaths across 63 health zones in seven provinces. WHO continues to emphasize strengthened cross-border collaboration and sustained surveillance to reduce the risk of further regional spread.
Our community-focused interventions promote accurate health information, early reporting, hygiene, responsible movement, and cooperation with health authorities.
Border communities need practical support because families, traders, transport workers, and communities regularly interact across national boundaries.
Your contribution is helping strengthen a protective network that extends beyond individual communities and supports broader regional preparedness.
