Dear Donor,
Thanks to your continued generosity, we remain committed to promoting infection prevention as a vital part of community-led Ebola preparedness.
Kenya’s growing case count has highlighted the risks healthcare workers and support staff can face while caring for patients. The latest confirmed case involved a hospital attendant who handled utensils and linens, emphasizing the importance of appropriate protective equipment, safe handling of potentially contaminated materials, and effective cleaning procedures.
Our preparedness priorities include raising awareness about hand hygiene, safe waste handling, responsible care-seeking, and cooperation with qualified health workers.
In community settings, we also encourage prevention messages to reach schools, markets, transport points, and other gathering places where people can benefit from practical health information.
Healthcare workers and support staff are essential to the response, and protecting them helps safeguard patients, families, and the wider community.
Your contribution is helping sustain awareness of the everyday precautions that strengthen health protection and improve community readiness during an outbreak.
