Those who have served our country deserve more than gratitude — they deserve action. The Veterans Assistance Fund exists to honor that commitment by channeling donor contributions directly into programs that address the most pressing challenges facing veterans today. From homelessness and mental health struggles to unemployment and reintegration, the Fund works tirelessly to ensure that no veteran is left behind.
How Donations Are Making a Difference1. Housing & Homelessness Prevention
Veterans are nearly 50% more likely to experience homelessness than the general population. Donations to the Veterans Assistance Fund help provide emergency shelter, transitional housing, and long-term affordable housing placements for veterans in need. The Fund also assists with rental deposits, utility costs, and housing navigation services to help veterans secure and maintain stable homes.
Example Impact: In 2025, the Fund helped place 850 homeless veterans into stable housing, with 82% maintaining their housing after 12 months — a testament to the wraparound support services made possible by donor generosity.
2. Mental Health & PTSD Support
The invisible wounds of war can be just as debilitating as physical injuries. Many veterans return home carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Donations fund access to licensed mental health counselors, peer support groups, crisis intervention services, and telehealth options that bring care directly to veterans wherever they are.
Example Impact: Over 3,000 veterans received mental health services through Fund-supported programs last year. Among those who completed a full course of treatment, 74% reported a significant reduction in PTSD symptoms and improved overall quality of life.
3. Employment & Job Training
Transitioning from military to civilian life is one of the most challenging steps a veteran can face. The Veterans Assistance Fund supports vocational training, certification programs, resume development, interview coaching, and employer partnerships that champion inclusive veteran hiring. The Fund also provides entrepreneurship grants for veterans looking to start their own businesses.
Example Impact: In 2025, more than 1,100 veterans completed job training programs supported by the Fund. Within six months of completion, 70% had secured full-time employment, with an average starting salary 18% above the local median wage.
Impact at a Glance
The Ripple Effect of Your Gift
When a veteran finds stable housing, their mental health improves. When their mental health improves, they are better positioned to pursue employment. When they find meaningful work, they rebuild their confidence, reconnect with their families, and contribute to their communities. A donation to the Veterans Assistance Fund does not just change one life — it sets off a chain reaction of positive transformation that extends far beyond the individual.
A Closing Call to Action
Our veterans did not hesitate when their country called — and neither should we. Every contribution to the Veterans Assistance Fund, no matter the size, sends a powerful message: your service matters, and so does your life after service. Whether it is providing a roof over a veteran's head, a counselor to help them heal, or a career path to help them thrive — your donation makes it possible. Give today, and help us give back to those who gave so much.
