Summary

Imagine how many lives we could change with a dedicated veterinary ambulance for spaying and neutering pets. We can help control the pet population, reduce stray numbers, and minimize the suffering of homeless animals. The services we offer won't just be a temporary fix; they're a long-term solution for a healthier pet population, leading to fewer strays and better quality of life for all animals. We have already raised 12000$, we need another 3000$ for registration and accreditation!

Challenge

Are you seeing more stray dogs and cats wandering the cold, harsh streets of Romania with each passing day? The sight of these helpless animals fending for themselves is not only heartbreaking but a growing concern that poses health risks, safety issues, and an imbalance in our urban and rural ecosystems. The countless litters born into misery signal a desperate cry for help - our streets are becoming overrun with animals facing grim futures.

Solution

The veterinary ambulance allows us to get to more remote areas and do spaying campaigns on the spot. The ambulance will also allow us to work with authorities from other communes/towns, that are willing to pay for the actual surgery but are not willing to organize or offer transport for the animals, considering there isn't a veterinary surgery in every village/commune.

Long-Term Impact

Every cat can give birth to an average of 3 kittens every time, and every dog to an average of 6 puppies. Now, with the current infrastructure, we spay around 30 females(cats and dogs) per month, meaning that every year there will be fewer than 540 kittens and puppies born, most of them being thrown away or being kept for breeding others. A veterinary ambulance will make the spaying campaign more efficient and help us prevent the birth of other kittens and puppies that will have a tragic ending.
