By Amber McCammon | Director of Programs
To the generous donors of our GlobalGiving Art Exploration Campaign,
At The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum we strive to incorporate the arts through programming and interactive exhibits. Our art exploration campaign supports our in house library, the Book Nook, which we have recently reopened thanks to your contributions. Art Exploration Campaign funds have also helped us improve safety features for our Music Exploration Corner exhibit and supported ongoing art facilitation for our weekly Toddler Tuesday programming as well as during weekend drawing classes and outreach events.
The funds you provided allowed us to purchase an outlet cover box to safely secure the electrical outlet used for our electronic drum set and covered the cost of new mallets for our pentatonic chimes, both featured in our Music Exploration Corner. Further, donations have helped offset the cost of replacing our threadbear cushion covers in the Book Nook which instigated the replacement of the books in the space so families can relax and read together during their visit.
Funds generated from the ongoing art exploration campaign will offset the cost of art supplies used for Toddler Tuesday, drawing classes and outreach events.
Thank you for helping us help families Explore, Play, Discover and Create together!
Sincerely,
The VICM Team
