Current Progress & Updates

The project has officially launched and is currently in its primary fundraising and community mobilization phase. Because the campaign has just begun and is seeking its first donors, physical training activities have not yet commenced. However, essential groundwork is being laid to ensure swift execution once initial funding is secured.

Our current behind-the-scenes focus includes:

• Community Sensitization: Engaging with local community leaders in Niger State to identify the most vulnerable youths who will benefit from this intervention.

• Trainer Outreach: Shortlisting skilled local artisans and professionals in tailoring, carpentry, and ICT to serve as mentors and lead trainers.

• Logistical Planning: Sourcing preliminary quotes for training materials, equipment, and starter kits to ensure the $10,000 budget is utilized efficiently.

Next Steps

Once we secure our first wave of funding, the immediate next steps will be:

1. Securing Training Venues: Finalizing the locations for the training centers to ensure they are accessible to the selected youths.

2. Procuring Equipment: Purchasing the initial batch of sewing machines, carpentry tools, and computers.

3. Onboarding Participants: Officially enrolling the first cohort of youths and beginning the skills acquisition program.
